Careers

Help us put MCA on autopilot.

We're a small team building AI that takes merchant leads from first text to funded deal.

How we work

Small, senior, close to the deal

We keep the team small and senior. Everyone works directly with the funders and brokers who use the product, owns problems end to end, and ships fast. There are no layers between the person building a feature and the person relying on it to fund a deal.

We're AI-native by conviction, not by trend. Sabbie texts and calls every lead, Lettie chases the paperwork, and we hold our own work to the same standard: if a machine can do it well, it should, so people can spend their time on judgment.

Senior Backend Engineer, Platform

Engineering · Remote, Eastern hours · Full-time

You'll own the systems that take a merchant from first text to funded deal. That means the pipeline behind Sabbie's SMS and voice outreach, the document extraction and bank statement OCR that turn paperwork into decisions, and the data layer every funder's book runs on. It's a small system moving real money, so the engineering bar is high and the surface area is yours.

What you'll do

  • Build a performant extraction and OCR pipeline for messy, inconsistent bank statements and applications
  • Keep the SMS and voice loop fast and reliable, answering every lead in seconds is the product promise
  • Design org-scoped data models and permissioning so every funder's pipeline stays cleanly isolated
  • Shape opinionated APIs that keep CRM and partner integrations on the happy path
  • Add the tracing and observability that make webhook-driven, multi-agent flows debuggable
  • Scale our Cloud Run workloads without burning money on idle compute

Technologies we use

  • Python and FastAPI on Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Firestore, Secret Manager)
  • Twilio for SMS and AI voice, Anthropic Claude for our agents (Sabbie, Lettie, Eddie)
  • Stripe for billing, Jinja2 and vanilla JS on the frontend

What we value

  • A bias towards quality and thoughtfulness about edge cases: anything that can go wrong will, and this system touches money
  • Empathy for non-technical users. Brokers, underwriters, and merchants feel every technical decision you make
  • Ability to pick up new technology and concepts quickly, even without in-depth prior experience
  • Solutions that centralize and abstract complexity away, exposing simple, powerful interfaces

What we require

  • 5+ years designing, building, and operating production backend systems
  • Strong Python, plus experience running cloud infrastructure you were on the hook for
  • Comfort owning problems end to end on a very small team

Compensation

  • $190,000 to $240,000 base
  • Full health coverage and a home office budget

Forward Deployed Engineer

Product · Remote, travel to client sites · Full-time

You're the engineer our clients actually meet. You'll take Sabbie into real funding shops: onboard the org, tune the playbook to their sales motion, wire up their CRM, and sit with the underwriting floor until the product fits how they actually work. Then you bring what you learned back and make it the default for everyone.

What you'll do

  • Run onboardings end to end, from first data import to the first funded deal on the platform
  • Adapt agent playbooks and prompts to each funder's tone, offer structure, and qualification rules
  • Build and maintain CRM integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) against real, messy pipelines
  • Prototype features against live deal flow and turn client pain into product specs
  • Be the person a funder calls when something matters

Technologies we use

  • Python, REST APIs and webhooks, CRM platforms
  • Prompt engineering with Anthropic Claude, Twilio SMS and voice

What we value

  • A highly analytical approach to messy operational problems
  • Comfort iterating with users in a dynamic environment with evolving objectives
  • Fluency translating between underwriters and engineers, they rarely speak the same language
  • No patience for "that's how it's always been done in MCA"
  • Understanding of small-business lending lifecycles is a real advantage

What we require

  • 2+ years of experience in software or data roles
  • Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar
  • Ability and interest to travel up to 25% to client sites

Compensation

  • $160,000 to $205,000 base
  • Travel fully covered
  • Full health coverage and a home office budget

Sales

Sales · In office, New York (Manhattan) · Full-time

You'll partner with MCA funders and ISO brokers to change how they take a deal from cold lead to funded, working directly with the founder. It's a relationship-driven industry and a technical product, so you'll need to hold your own with the owner, the sales manager, and the underwriter in the same meeting.

What you'll do

  • Own engagements from first meeting through procurement to close
  • Build customer profiles: who the funder is, how they source deals, and where leads die in their funnel
  • Set and run the strategy for growing our presence across the MCA and small-business lending industry
  • Get deep on the software and how it maps to real funding workflows
  • Meet or exceed defined metrics by securing contracts

What we value

  • A track record of closing net new B2B software deals
  • Articulating impact to technical and non-technical audiences alike
  • Skill in identifying client needs and aligning them with what the platform actually does
  • Strong interpersonal intuition: spotting the decision maker and the change agent inside a funding shop
  • Adaptive and introspective, willing to learn, guide, lead, and follow

What we require

  • 5+ years of outbound B2B sales experience focused on closing net new business
  • Based in or willing to relocate to New York. This role is in office in Manhattan
  • Ability to travel to client offices and industry events per business needs
  • Familiarity with small-business lending, MCA, or fintech is a strong plus

Compensation

  • $120,000 to $150,000 base
  • Uncapped commission, on-target earnings of $250,000 or more
  • Full health coverage and a Manhattan office

To apply

  • Email a resume along with a short record of your sales experience, including the size of the deals you've closed. Use $X for values you can't disclose.
